It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It is hard for their batsmen to hold a record if not afforded the chance.

Whether this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Certain people claim the argument supporting championship match pressure. Others can counter with the test that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was far harder to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this innings came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it was a disappointing period because it seemed I lacked timing completely," said Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts take over and you simply focus on the match."

Healy's competitive nature has consistently been her key asset - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's motivation.

A single came off the bowler's initial ball and from there Healy was on her way.

"The possibility to play and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was removed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if we do, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this success following victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.

During that phase they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wished she had played despite the injury.

But while she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have postponed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as skipper.

Success in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
